Displayed on paper or screen
feelings outspoken and keen
my pen tells tales from the soul
which are meant to deeply console.

Not only do those splendid rhymes
keep my pockets missing dimes,
but also do those lovely verses
fail to fill the empty purses.

Inventively I plug along
spin words into a silent song
congratulate and celebrate
and even sometimes aggravate.

Sharing my deepest desire
doing so I never tire,
promoting books - my written word,
praying that I'm being heard.

Other days my limericks
sneak inside and play nice tricks
like a painting on the wall
a ditty ballad can enthrall

Chanting sentences caress
my core, my body in excess
it never seems like wasted times
to thoroughly outlive my rhymes.

Loved it! Lyrical poetry is my preference, although I enjoy reading every style unless I have to figure out what it means. I like it right there in front of me. This was fun to read. Thanks for sharing.

Becca, your poetry is like a snowballs game, full of teasing, smiles and laugh, always with the purity that descended from the skies, without pretension and with a clear voice, like a happy singing wind.
