~~xXx~~

Let's walk down Memory Lane, my love,
And linger in the sunshine that comes from above.
Hold my hand and lead the way
To the bluff where you took me that special day.

The trace was all sprinkled with stardust and dew,
As I held on tight and followed you.
With guitar in hand you serenaded me,
I loved your voice and the Waltz of Tennessee.

We danced that night upon the hilltop,
Both wishing it would never have to stop.
The stars all out in their splendour and beauty,
Illuminated our way as we journeyed back to reality.

Let's revisit now, the evening on the pier,
Kick off your shoes as if you were really here,
Experiencing the warmth that my island has to give.
It really is a beautiful place in which to live.

We sat under the moon and listened all night long,
As the orchestra played our favourite songs.
You marvelled at the waves rushing into the shore.
How I wish we could have shared so much more.

But now, it's time I must end my reflections,
Turn my attention in other directions.
Here's hoping we meet on the net again soon
And enjoy another year together under the moon.

~~xXx~~
