From The Great Beyond!

It is with tears in my eyes but a song in my heart that I wrote these words.

It’s been three years now since he left this earth,
But he has never left my heart.
Today, I owe who I am to this great man
Who still plays a major part in my life.
This special man of whom I speak
Was my Principal in the past.
The lessons that I have learnt from him,
Will forever live on in my mind.

To this day he continues to guide me,
Even from The Great Beyond.
For now, when I am placed in a situation of authority,
My mind races back to those days gone by,
The days when I was under his command,
And I find myself asking this question,
“How would George have handled this?”
Somehow I always get the strength and the inspiration
To do what’s expected of me.

I’m sure he’s looking down on me.
And I know he would have been so proud,
While listening to me address an entire school
As this was something I could not have done before.
He was a man of eloquence,
A man who could move the world with words,
And although I am no where close to his standard,
I know that he would have cheered me on
Had he been here today.
Still
He is helping me to grow
Even From The Great Beyond.

~~xXx~~

This is about one of the dearest man I have ever known and loved....My former Principal, George Worrell....
