Plea

I’m a child of issues
I’m a child filled with pain
I’m child of which society is ashamed
And I am sad
Because I know who I can be

But there’s a struggle in me
Because of my pain
At times I can’t fathom
My own name
So I am confused
As a child I don’t know what to do

In my pain
In my struggles
In my confusion
To others I am a mess
For the turmoil inside me
Does not give me rest

So I wander
I run away
I lash out at others
So with me they don’t want to play
I’m then rejected
But they don’t understand
I’m trying to find out who I really am

I wish they would look beyond
And see I am in need
Of compassion and mercy
And just help me

Mother, don’t turn your back on me
Help me, I am trying to be free
Father, why have you abandoned me
To you I wasn’t good enough
And with you society agreed

Then I’m ostracized
So I become an outcast
A delinquent juvenile
Alas… I became at last
This identity I did not want
My destiny is stolen
And it seems now I can’t
Become the vision in my heart

Is there hope for me
Or will I always be bad
I’m confused
Time from me is stolen
Now I’m mad…

Help me God
Hear my plea
Make the impossible
Become my possibility

A cry for help that's heartbreaking; I trust this is fiction, if not God is there, and He does hear. Holly
