A poem I wrote to my Mother many years ago. She is my inspiration for going on in life.

This poem is to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You're such a terrific mother I'm not sure where to start.

For all the times I lost my wits but you stood there by my side.

For all the times I embarrassed you but, still you kept your pride.

For all the times I caused a fight and my voice began to shout.

I thank you for always being there and never showing doubt.

For all the times you laughed with me, raising my spirits with your smile.

For all the times you dried my tears and sat with me awhile.

For all the times you took me in and offered all you had.

I thank you for always being there as my mom and my dad.

For all the times I fell behind and you pushed me forward again.

For all the times you've been there for me, no matter where or when.

For all the times you took my place when a mother I could not be.

I thank you for always having faith and trust in me.

One day Mother I will ease your mind and make your wishes come true .

To thank you for bringing me into this world, with a Mother as great as you.

Your love for your Mother is truly apparent. I trust she knows the depths and breadths of your love. I hope it’s ok [with you] to share this with my Mom. It will tell my Mom all that I’ve not been able to put into words. Kathy
