Poetic tribute to the lives and deaths of three little girls who perished in a housefire. The pain is profound!

~  Three Little Angels  R.I.P~
by Auntie Mimi

Awoke with thoughts of angels
Danielle came to mind
that pretty little
special girl
who left the world behind
Too soon, so soon
she wasnt even four yet
When God said come here
my child
Come meet me at the gate
of Heaven.
Awoke with angels
flying
all about my head
I saw Susan, sweet Susan
laying lifeless; she was dead
God knew why He took her
This innocent child of two
Couldn't understand it then
Not sure if I really do
And Shantel, the oldest
of the three
With beauty, brains and as
wise as she
could be
Her life was short,
only six when she died
for all of my sweet angels
a river of tears we all cried.
Awoke with dreams of angels
they are always in my heart
Not a day ever goes by
When the moments that are dark
Fill me with sadness,
overtaking
my soul
sending me over the edge
to a dark
and lonely road
where I sit and contemplate
my angels who are gone
who left this world too soon
And flew up to the
Beyond.
I know that they are happy
laughing
bouncing with glee
But, I sure do wish
I had them sitting right beside me
Rest in Peace my pretty angels
you now belong to God
Someday we'll meet again
In the Great kingdom of the Lord.

Mimi, my heart goes out to you... Your little agels caress you from Heaven as the sweet souls share the throne with our Lord! May the winds of time ease your sadness and pain...

I am so sorry that you had to have this sorrow in your life. When these things happen there is just no way to make sense of it. God is so much bigger then we are and we can do nothing but continue to trust Him. But even though we know God is in control, we still grieve and miss them so very much. A beautiful piece in their memory!

Such a sas and sweet piece. Karla is right. Your thoughts are kind and try to make sense of a tragedy.

i like the way you have written this.
its almost as if 'awoke with dreams of angels' is some kind of refrain and would even make for a great first line of a new stanza.

it must be so hard to think/write about such a tragic incident.
i pray that writing brings you comfort and healing and that your memories of these beautiful girls stay alive in your heart =)

take care.

It is so sad that one must live while others seem to be taken at the most enjoyable time of one's life...

peace to you and your loved ones...
