“Mommy & Daddy are in Love!” © 2006, Basil Sands Silken skin Softer than a dream Delicately smooth As I run the back of my fingers Up her arm Across her neck Tenderly pressing my lips Against her blushing cheek A gentle smile Creases her the corners of her eyes She lays her head into my chest I hum a low tune Softly murmured words of love Glide across a sea of enchantment The children burst in Full of energy Abruptly halting, staring Ruddy faces grinning Giggly voices loudly proclaim “Mommy & Daddy are in Love!”
