(impossible love stories that never come to be)

Impossible dreams
impossible loves
impossible lovers know there's not a chance the sun will ever get to kiss the moon
and how do you take the passion out of a passion fruit?

Hmm, impossible nights
unreachable heights
impossible lovers know the seas will never empty out
and how do you pull a star from a lit sky?

unforgettable moments
unfashionable whispers
untrimmable feelings that show
playfully I stand on your feet,
head against your white comfy sweater
arms that form a ring that cannot be broken
except maybe by a screaming alarm clock?

your play, can't call it work cause you're having too much fun doing it, is always a true pleasure to read. It is truly noble of you to even give the impossible love a stage and great verse to ponder this situation over with, cheers

I like in particular, Bernice, how this poem moves from the abstract and general to the personal and tangible..."stand on your feet, head against your white comfy sweater.."

the warmth is real (before the clock!)

Very well done, Bernice. Nicely done with a little humor to close.
