Under the Red Roof

when somebody loves you...

Cat-like, she pounced gleefully off the hotel bed towards

the man staring at his own reflection on the bathroom mirror

His boxers snuggly hung around his perfect lower torso, Adonis would’ve been jealous

As she wrapped her arms around him and pressed her perfect mounds on his bare back

she noticed his buttocks muscles tightened and smiled

He smiled too, locking eyes with hers in the mirror

It wasn’t that they’d just made incredible love or that he’d made her feel things she’d never felt before, neither was it because she’d brought him so much pleasure by just loving him as much as she did

It was what she saw when she looked into his eyes

--never before had a man’s look said so much

It was an agreement  they made in spirit

It was him

It was her

“It’s you”

And they both knew it

She was his home and she had found her way home in him

Under a battered and timeless red roof.

"...an agreement they made in spirit.." yes, that's it for it transcends all sensuality and is the key to eternity.
Good to see you posting, Bernice.

Love the soft sensuality and romantic realism of this one Bernice, it says so much of love and how love develops not just lust but the feelings of two who know they were meant to be together. Good to see your name come back up on the posting list.
