What could be love, now remains lust,
And all words sound strained;
Sprouting in my heart, seeds of mistrust,
My life-force slowly drained.
Evidence of doubt is all I could find,
Trapped in the workings of
Demons in my mind.

Have I not the courage to open my eyes,
Bathe in your light and glory;
Surrounding myself with deceit and lies,
Masquerading my life's story.
I could not leave my fears behind,
Trapped in the workings of
Demons in my mind.

O! Prince Charming with all your splendor,
Worthy I not of thee;
When stripped my soul of all its honor,
An ugly reflection I see.
For yet I have learnt true love and divine,
Trapped in the workings of
Demons in my mind.
