i think what id like to say
is i love you
because in that way
you understand my
compassion
my heartfelt appreciation
for all that you are
as i surround myself in this
desert today, towering spires of
red etched rock formations
graced by shimmering aspens
rumbles of thunder above these cliffs
flashes of heat lightening sending
bolts across the landscape
overcome by fever i am
delirious and grateful
for the precious moments
that exist as this lifetime
the beauty that surrounds me
is because you have willed it
seeing the vision greater
than an average man
you believe in something
greater than yesterday
a belief in joy
and creation

you never disappoint me

... totally knockout, Debby. Such a relaxed and easy peace and pace you unfold for us here as you give shape and voice to your deepest thoughts. And a privilege to be able to share them with the object of your affection with such grace and ease. Totally love this and the ways in which you have filled your canvas with such broad and magnificent strokes. An achieved air of contentment and full satisfaction. I feel it, too! TY Kate xx

Melancholic, tender and hopefull, a poem giving herself assurance that the heart wasn't wrong, couldn't be wrong.
Well done.
