from expressing and expanding

comes contraction and application

I demand nothing

I expect everything

everything you need

you already have

joy is the direction

detached from drama

we are not victims

nothing upsets us

interpretation is self directed

either one is or isn’t

my desires are simple

kindness is a birthright

adore and waste not

because you...

Amazing "mantras" I could use every morning! And I'm always surprised by your economic precision in poetry that still sings...
A great march forward and another great picture!

these couplets are wonderful, Debby. They read like Wisdom Writings and inspire such a sense of rounded, holistic well-being and acceptance. Great stuff, thank you! xx

OK, I love this poem, every last line, spare and perfectly meant, delicate yet strong, matching the picture so well, and this is my favorite

you already have

and that ending, love that.
