following the guide of the voice within
over the range to the desert floor
40 miles in, seemed significant
surrounded by calm and Joshua

it was here where the air was brisk
here where I felt the fever
here where I sensed your grace
in heartfelt warmth your soon embrace
spinning within my head

perspiring within the form
delirious with fever
virile teeming within your need
sensing erect the stand
acknowledging our journey within

quickened breath and pulsing heart
a longing ache within my gut
fevered brow and desire hunger
wraps its arms around your neck
and presses kisses to your mouth
