He gave me no Valentine...
nor a card,
nor a single Hershey's kiss.
Looked around and there were no roses
in a pretty vase...
BUT
He came to me and took my hand...
knelt and kissed my hand sweetly
then he turned my hand over, and kissed my palm...
and kissed the inside of my wrist and he could tell my heart was racing...
THEN
He rose, and held me in his arms and softly at first, kissed my lips and let our hearts, not our minds take over...
For as long as I live, and beyond the physical, that Valentine kiss will always be in my heart, and hopefully his...
Love is a priceless gift that needs no cards,
just remembering the sweetness of moments.
