Through her bedroom window
Breeze blows scents
Unbidden to remind her
Of times; remembrance
Of a troubled life; of
The tumultuous life she's led
On city streets and back alleys
A life of sin and blood that was shed
A remembrance of the price

Paid in full, paid in advance
Night's heat, impassionate love
Felt at a distance without any substance
Hidden from the light above
Cloaked in sin's putrid stench
Until beaten and bloody
Lying on sterile white
Doctor God came to call that day
To cure her sin's blight

She remembers the revelation
Came to know perfect love by the cross
Pulled into Jesus bosom and comforted
Pulled into warmth from sin's cold frost
The beast lost his grip on her
And she finally fought to freedom
In that holy Book of Life
She found that her life held reason
She wasn't alone anymore
