An analysis of the human condition that allows man to weaken under the powerful influence of evil and power on our mortal souls.

A past full of echoes
of good and bad;
like reels of celebrity
preaching rainbow skies.

Wails of grief and joy
generated tunnels of emotions,
fueled by moon-spells
as statuesque monsters assessed.

Generals bellowed melodic zeal
to erect domino-shaped bodies
over bloodstained plains
as canon voices spelled destiny.

Heroes wept in sleep,
villains carnaged romantic deeds,
and demon-guided weaponry
created glorious misfortunes.

Seas of powder swelled;
pain tainted swords rose -
while the lands of earth
awaited cataclysmic armagedons.

Daniel Berghoff's "LOOK IN THE MIRROR"
