Resurrection of Christ

The devil was so happy, The Son of God had died. Christ the holy One, Had lost when Satan lied. All the prophets speaking, God's faithful served in vain. That sinless sacrifice, That body lifeless lain. Satan planned his triumph, In Heaven he would rule. That handsome wicked angel, A flawed and tarnished jewel. But lo the morn has broken, The stone has rolled away. The hope of man is risen, On this our glorious day. The grave it couldn't hold Him. Our sins He overcame. He crushed the head of Satan, O praise His Holy Name! 4.11.04 Copyright 2007

I think of the Resurrection as God's promise fulfilled.
I'd never thought of it as triumph over Satan. Much to think about,

Kathy
