A poem I wrote for our family friend, Ethel, whose husband Dale passed away. She has since joined him. (Quinn's character in 'Sexual Promise' writes this. I pulled from my past writing and experiences for my first novel.) |

Dearest Dale
The eyes
The smile
Shows the soul
We know so well
That one person
Which we can connect
Our every thought
And being.
They are with us
Everyday
Whether in person
Or, in soul.
Sometimes, the course
In life
Is unfair.
It changes so abruptly,
Leaving,
What we knew
As reality, gone;
Only a memory.
What we can say
Is, “Thank you
For the time
We did have,
The love shared
And memories formed.”

I believe this to be true. I do not know where I would be now if angels had not come to my aid on several occasions. Thank you, Seann. Love and best wishes,
Regis
