Gowns of White

This is about growing up.

Coming into the world a child is born

Her parents look upon her with joy
And in a few weeks she is dedicated to the Lord.

She wears a christening gown of white while
Water is sprinkled upon her head. Her soul
Has now been dedicated to God, a wonderful
Way to start a life.

As she grows into a little girl, her first communion she takes.
Wearing once more a gown of white.

The little girl grows into a beautiful teen. And now high school is about to end, while she laughs and talks with all her friends.   A gown of white she wears once more, on top of her head a tassel and mortar board.

When she finds her true love, she sparkles in her gown of white.
She’ll begin her new life as his wife.

Gowns of white are not finished yet.   Her child is born, they dedicate
Her to the Lord, the child wears a gown of white…..

You did a great "job" of bringing the symbolism of the "white" all together in a lifetime. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes,

Regis
