Just a little age humor, we all need a little laugh.
Fifty, a very special age, now you're half a century old.
You have wisdom and courage and everything is fine,
They don't tell you, you're becoming Father Time.
First things first, and in the mail, something from AARP!
It just reminds how far I have come, how much I've grown,
But I don't understand, life sure has caught up on me!
Go to the doc, first thing he says, oh by the way, isn't this your
birth month? Thinking he's only being nice, I say, yes it is,
why do you ask? You're fifty this year, am I correct?
Ok, back on the table we'll have to run more tests.
Had a little problem with dry skin, and of course we're all aware
of that, a little aging again, and the age 50 I wear.
Go to the restaurant for a bite to eat, think I'll have the ham.
Feeling pretty good, until this one smart aleck kid comes around,
Will that be regular or senior citizen, ma'am?
Oh well, a little older, a little wiser, I don't know if that's true ,
Work is okay, but I'm getting bored. Won't have to worry about that
much longer, retirement comes at 62!

|Being a senior is not really so bad .... take into consideration all the discounts that are coming your way... I'm glad to take them all .... after all -- I've earned them the hard way!
P.S. I'll take the discounts .... but leave the wrinkles far behind, I hope.

|Delightful piece of writing, Mary; well done! I can relate: I turned 52 in June, on the 26th! A major accomplishment, considering that when born I was NOT expected to live AT all (weighed 1 1/2 pounds)! Every day I wake up above ground and breathing is a major blessing from God! :)
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D

|When you blow out those candles be-careful how you wish.
I know a man who was 52, he wished for his wife to become thirty years younger. When he woke up, he was 82.
