Hear the Choir

Economy’s a little broke, so Santa may have little this year
and if he doesn’t, so what, we still have our Christmas cheer.
Let’s not let the cash register dampen our spirits.  The choir
is in great form so let’s listen and hear.

Hear them tell of a time long ago, a very cold winter, a Babe
in a manger, his family all around.  Travelling through the night
were some shepherds, marveling at what they found.

Gift-giving started with the three Wise-Men from the East.
Following a bright star in the middle of the night,
They came to see the newborn King.

The King that would bring us salvation, we expected this to be
But even though the prophets predicted this thing,
We never quite understood how much it would mean.

So listen to the choir, hear them sing of all the joy that
our Beloved Jesus brings.

And if ‘things’ are a little lean this year,  remember the
Babe and when times are a little  hard,
Let us not forget, He’s always here.

As one who loves to sing (and sings every year in the choir for the Christmas Cantata), I DEARLY adore this one! Beautiful write of praising the REAL Reason for the Season: the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! Well done, Mary!

And Merry CHRISTmas to you and yours!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. ;D
