A New Love?

tearful face as long as can be
chin almost down to my knee
just feeling sorry for myself
thought I was off the shelf
when you came strolling along
no! yet again I'm proved wrong
suffering living without you
then suddenly out of the blue
another calls out my name
saying it's pointless to blame
coz happy times are too few
and that she loves me too
reckons you're not good enough
not made of the right stuff
that I should love only her
no other should I prefer
she looks so beautiful to me
that I cannot help but agree
yet I say it would be so bad
for her to marry her granddad
