My Girl

She’s loving and forgiving
Helpful in the task of living
No matter how late the return
No disapproval do I discern

So beautiful is she to behold
Yet instantly does as she is told
No matter if at her I cuss and swear
No grudge does she seem to bear

Even if was I to raise my hand
By my side she’d loyally stand
No matter I come home drunk
No problem, she’d share my bunk

Her love comes with no conditions
For she requires no provisions
No matter others tempt my heart
No one else could keep us apart

So aware of my every word
Yet herself so rarely heard
No matter what my foolish folly
Not to Aggie, my Border Collie.

Great twist! Lol! I was beginning to wonder what kind of a woman is this? Darn! Then I remembered you had told me about the twist! Lovely poem and you're one lucky man to have such a loving girl, David. Lol!

God bless,

Sandie.

Wow, what a twist! LoL. For a human, or a dog, that would be very sweet, though a bit abusive to a human,...well for a dog, too. I love these twisting poems. I just read one like that by somebody else, Linda, it was. Quite good, yours. Threw me off. I liked this style a lot too. It seems to fit you best.

Warm Love and Happy New Year,
Brittany
