Ransacked By Betrayals...Conceptions Deception is ALL About Perception!!
...Once You Really Get Inside To The Souls Of True Love Unstolen...You Will See Your Beauty...

Into the foyers of love’s begotten hallways
there is silence amidst an empty room
no foray nor décor of expensive silk
nor fancy greetings to evermore consume

amidst the barren dark echoic hallways;
There on a mantels mahogany small shelf
is an empty vase cornered by loneliness
and the memories of betrayals haunting delft

Surrounding an urn of beautiful crystal
glistering within the rays of prisms scope
little glass pebbles are mirroring reflections
as another memory fades upon the veils of hope

I gathered here as I seen a deeper meaning
within the wailing feelings of this shadowed room
when behind the faded walls are stolen treasures
and all that love's heart could evermore consume

Hope not upon the brass rings of fortunes wanted
nor the expensive nickel of silver or platinum coins;
For there is no love weaker vowing the rarest ruby gems
to have ever crossed the thresholds this foyer conjoins…

There is however only one sacred fortune
destined to wealth and happiness be known
the gift where rare true love evermore is measured
within your soul a mere pebble shelved with shards of broken stone…

Deep within your soul reside mysteries to be displayed and shared. Every poem gives yet another glimpse. It is quite beautiful in there.

Great Poem Vickie, loved it. And I do like the picture you posted with it. You are a great poet. Did you see the poem Love will never Die Bonnie May posted on the poets den. It is dedicated to me and late husband Tom and photo is pending in the mail, I hope you will read it too. I too am mourning my husband Tom who died on Aug 17 07. Being manic depressive and all I have a hard time letting go. Not ready yet. Lois

There are many symbols in this write. Honestly, I am amazed at how you keep writing and writing and writing... ...there's a lot in your soul that needs to be expressed; so it seems to me. But who am I to say so? Love, hugs, and my best wishes,

Soldiers that came from lighted rooms of family warmth has seen a few of these room where despair and destruction was the main dècor.
Your poem tell us of an inner, hidden, trembling despair that are here in words by proxy, but that nevertheless has the purity of an unadulterated feeling that wishes to be shared.

"Vick" my dear friend and romantic Princess, again you have captured with word and graphic the sense of what was once and may never be again. The symbology of the room in despair, and the urn of hopes gone by and forgotten leaves a bitter sweet ache that is hard to miss.
