(also, sextina, sestine, or sextain)
The sestina was invented in the late 12th century
by the Provencal troubadour Arnaut Daniel.
Elements of it were quickly imitated by other troubadours,
such as Guilhem Peire Cazals de Caortz.

While researching words yesterday
I ran across this word "SESTINA"...
I thought it to be so very beautiful.
Then researching it, since I had no
idea what it was or meant...
is it French? Is it English? Is it Spanish?
I discovered sestina is a poetry form.
…and here I offer what came to
 challenging my muse to a Sestina:

From The Heart (sestina)
When I look into the dignified mirror of woman,
I see you there as a bounty of rarity adorning love…
Embracing sanctum’s within your desirous passion;
Sharing the beget truths of your inner most beatitude;
Your emotive voice speaks from the depths of your soul,
the chambers where you garnish all intricacies of emotion…
In these gentle reflections of your extolling emotion,
wisdoms descry fortunes bestowing piety to every woman.
Unveiling the sentient wealth encompassing your revered soul;
Tenderness opens your adulate heart to give unending love….
Embracing eternality within the nurturance of your beatitude;
Beholding life’s bounty with sanctums into your healing passion;
These fealty moments adorn convents within your imbue passion…
I recognize, I myself am also blessed to know such deep gracil emotion…
For I too have been witness to your intrinsic generous beatitude,
reassuring decorum’s touch while sharing your edifice of being a woman.
Unveiling the sanctitude of presence vowing your abiding love;
Offered with selflessness from the emplacements of your soul;
I awaken to this fidelity quickening within the spirit of my own soul…
Embowering these pious chambers of my personal sanctified passion;
Reflecting your purity within my own heart; born of seraphic love;
Nurturing the devote bounties of my own omniscient emotion;
I have been blessed to know the nobility of being a woman…
Embracing the credence of my life with sanctimony’s beatitude;
Through all these enlightenments of your allotting beatitude;
Sharing the core of your fortuned wisdoms with your soul;
You show me the timeless beauty of being an esteemed woman…
Empowering our claiming destinies through our inherent passion;
The embodiments of quietude’s truth embrace eternal emotion;
Reverencing our commitments avowed by the loyalty of love;
Building hope beneath foundations of your guidance within sanctity’s love,
I know that the gifts of your essence are from an empyrean beatitude…
Everlasting into the intimate language spoken within all emotion;
I can now sing gloriously within the comforts of my own healing soul.
Embellishing my life circle with the deepest inner most passion,
I behold the pinnacle embodiments within the heart of being a woman…
And I want you to know my emotion cultivates with your love;
The tender strengths of being a woman mirroring all your beatitude;
As you offer me to know your soul from the heart of intimate passion…

This is very beautiful, and I agree whole heartedly with what Sage said too. I only wish my own soul would heal like in this poem. Thank you for teaching this form.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))))))))), your sister in writing, Barbie.

Truly a poem of magnitude, Vickie. My guess would be that "sestina" is an Italian word. Your poem is a lesson for me which I appreciate. Merci ma chère amie. Amour et bises,

Loyalty is a highly bestowed virtue, should be maintained in love and friendship to its highest power...when there is no loyalty, this is often why love and friendships fail...the highest heaven in pure fire is polygamous fidelity...united From the Heart...where each participant comprehends the spiritual value of the group Whole...Woman enkindles the flame and her likely accomplices are the women who embrace a free-thinker's circle of healing, prosperity and intimacy free of fear or restraint...sestina is the abiding example, and we thank you for teaching us a new form where the root of the word vine is all of its leafy veins of sexual identity...

"...I have been blessed to know the nobility of being a woman..." to know oneself is to know some of the life secrets, to share them is to complement with a little piece the whole puzzle.
