I went on an amazing road trip Thursday & Friday (yesterday)
This photo is the capture of a footstone at the back of a cemetery out in Illinois.
I was so intrigued by the back plots as they had many very unusaul stones.
This one as you can see is the replica of a tree stump.
There are also some fabulous mausoleums!
One mausoleum is permanently sealed with wrought iron clamps.
All the mausoleums I have seen are either locked until certain visitation hours/days
or they are freely open at all times.
I was so utterly thrilled to come across this sealed one.
It must contain the entire family generations inside.
It was huge is why I say that, but I don't know for sure;
it could contain only one person.
I will post on it later...

Librational Totems by Victoria L. McColley.wma

Librational Totems
The burgeon spreads realizations awe
as skilled wings spawning from distances.
Where prevailing eagles roam elements to air
within her emotive soul prowling obstacles alone,
she stands confronted to stones hidden thresholds.
Warnings came unheeded to barren pathways.
Her heart is mindful offering patience to freedom
as continuums of falsity declare sedums roots.
But her tribal blades see through blind observances,
allowing precisions to reflect within conscious knowledge.
Flourishing with visionaries under perceptions wisdom,
librational totems take comprehensions flight; unabridged…

Victoria, I have wandered through some of those old cemetary plots in Illinois... and a few here in Oregon, just to get a glimpse of history, a look at life as it was at one time. There are many stories still to be told.

You understand better than anyone else, Vickie, the eternality of links, the unbreakable continuum...there is only one spirit, the universal, and we are lucky to be part and to contribute to its greatness.

Our spirits and those of our loved ones live on long into the history of our past. Great write and great picture...graveyards are a facinating place to be inspired...

What an amazing grave site you have discovered. It is quite intense feeling all that energy at a cemetary. If it wasn't raining right now, I would be at my grandmother's grave site. I need her energy right now in my life. I may still go. Some people are afraid to go to their loved ones plots. I embrace the energy. It really is very cool that you discovered this person's marker. I believe in totems and you of course know this. Great poem to capture the energy that you were feeling at the time.

Peace, love, and light,
