Patience

Patience is written upon the sands of time
The time you say that you need
To think about you and me.
Patience is a virtue.
That is what they say,
But it can be painful
As I wait for you.
Patience will bring the best of answers to light,
Saving us from that which would take us
From where we should be
In this God-given pathway we call life,
But how long
Will I need to wait
Upon the answers
That you seek?
“Patience my love”, this is what I hear, “Patience.”
That which wisdom dictates,
Will keep us from harms way,
Yet I will see your face
Before my mind’s eyes,
Gazing into the future,
Torn between the invitations of others
And you…..
Who has captured my heart.
“Patience……,”
you whisper as your eyes meet mine,
“be patient my friend.”
“Patience.”
As I lower my head,
Taking your hand in mine,
Pressing it against my cheek,
Surrender flows from my lips……
“I will……….”

If only we could all have more patience, God's will, will be done. How wonderful to hear your thoughts, what a way to live and love knowing all we do. Be strong, never give up. And when peole make you cry, and you're afraid of the dark, don't forget the light is always there. God Bless You!

| This is a lesson I am working on. Good write. A question does come to mind. When does patience become a loss of time? |

Hi Christine,
Oh what sadness does the heart contend,
When love to another, in warmth extend,
More over when that other is a friend,
Then truly that friendship, can never end,
And the lady smiled,as thoughts trancend.

Hi Christine,
Very well written piece. Patience is well rewarded most of the time. But when it's not there is a lot of wasted time and here we sit wondering if it is worth it or not. Well done. Gregg |
