For my son, Alex

Beautiful Boy,

how I miss you.

at times,

i feel this immense

void,

and no matter

how hard i

try,

it cannot be filled.

the need

to reach out –

touch you –

hold you close –

to keep you from

harm's way

overwhelms me –

yet

i know

what has been

done cannot

be undone.

i rely

on my memory

to sustain me,

until

i can look

into your eyes

once more,

my Beautiful Boy.

Ah, this comes from a more serious place. I, too, have lost beautful babies, the dream, the names I so lovingly chose, the music I played to my growing boy or girl. Five times I screamed 'Oh, God, no not this one!'.
Blessings,
Christine

I DON'T OFTEN TEAR UP OVER A WORK...BUT, I UNDERSTAND YOUR FEELINGS SO COMPLETELY THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME NOT TO. THANK GOD FOR MEMORIES...AND FOR STRENGTHENED WOMEN THAT, DESPITE THE PAIN, CAN CARRY AND SPEAK OF THEM SO WELL. GOD BLESS YOU, MY FRIEND AND PEACE...UNTIL YOU SEE HIM AGAIN. MUCH LOVE, JOYCE

Kills me.

Wish I could ease the pain.

So glad you write. For someone like you or I, there is no better
survival tool. Helps you to work your way through the bad and
relive the good.

You have done almost too good a job. Hard not to burst into tears.

Seize the day. . .and keep paper and pen handy.

Laptop?

Loving Hugs,

'Pea'

So moving; so heartwrenching. I do not want to imagine the pain; I cannot allow myself to 'go there.' Yet, I feel for you so deeply. You are a gifted woman and I pray that your gift of expression helps in some way to sustain you and bring you some peace. You're in my heart.

This left tears in my eyes, Dawn... The ache of a mother's heart who can't hold her boy in her arms...I know that ache all too well.

Dawn, this is such a heart-rending write. I feel your love and your pain; and yet, it's the kind of feelings we have for our children constantly. We love them, want to protect them, want to forever have them close. Blessings to you.

A loss no matter in what form, is always so hard to bear. You have written words from the heart. In turn it is felt in my heart.
