Back from vacation only four days ago, beautiful memories linger...
Photo taken in Alturi, Spain

Although the air was cool

the water felt warm as it

gently caressed her body.

She moved with long fluid

strokes and as she turned

onto her back, she noticed the

moon hung full in the early

morning sky.

She drifted for several minutes,

allowing the wrinkles to smooth

from her mind, listening as the

palms fluttered in the breeze like

the wings of a hundred butterflies.

Dark skies gave way to blue –

a promising start.

She closed her eyes briefly before

resuming her laps –

smiling at a memory captured –

tucked away for a cloudy day.

I agree with Axilea - this would make a wonderful introduction to a story. I felt completely drawn into this world, this experience. This is a new favorite of mine. I know that everything in your world appreciates your awareness - consciousness merging - you and "all."

Dawn - Enjoyed the memory - I felt the warmth of the water with the moon looking down and the palms fluttering. Like the lines:

She drifted for several minutes,

allowing the wrinkles to smooth

from her mind

I felt my own mind relax.

I love the line "allowing the wrinkles to smooth from her mind..." It is so poetic. :~)
I took a photo that is almost identical to yours last week, only it was taken in Montana in the evening, right before dusk. Funny how although we are half a world away, we can experience something so similar...
