Sometimes we walk in darkness, but the light is where we belong

Wandering through the darkness
Not a beam of light
Not knowing where I am
What is wrong or what is right


Try as I might
I could not see a way
Out of this misery
Choices I have made
Have turned my life into
Chaos and strife

The darkness had engulfed me
Robbing me of all hope
And then I felt His arms
As they pulled me near
He held me close and told me
That I should never fear

He told me I had never been alone
That He had been with me
That He would never leave me
He is my Salvation
He gave His life for me

All the wrongs that I had done
All the fears and doubts
Had been forgiven
And buried in the
Sea of Forgetfulness
And to put my heavy heart to rest
The price had been paid
By Him, the King of Kings

So now I walk in the Light
Each day, a new beginning
For I am a child of
The Most High
And happier than I have ever been
