Be the Blue Glass by Darlene M Caban Thursday, February 21, 2002 Share Print Save Become a Fan On a red world, Blue glass is More precious than rubies
I was always the kid who didn't fit in, no matter how hard I tried. I finally realized that trying to be 'normal' is a good way to destroy your creativity-- I cherish my 'weirdness' because it has allowed me to see things in a different way. Who wants to be a ruby when the world is full of rubies? I'm an expert at being the blue glass-- it's a lonely task sometimes, but I can't pretend to be a ruby.

Do or Do Not, There is No Try! I am the long hair in a room full of buzz-cuts, the jokester in the most serious moment, I AM The BLUE GLASS, TOO (it also helps it's my favorite color).

Wonderful! god made each of us unique, we are the ones who mess it up when we try to be what others think we should, or what we think is better. I learned that when we accept who we are, others will too...;-).
