I get tired of the way the media, and the small minded people tend to make our Soldiers look like the enemies A soldier cries Half a world away He has so much pain Seen in the eyes Of a Soldier No more than A boy. Once innocent eyes Take in death and Destruction But he does not Question his decision To fight for America the free He knows now That some will pay The ultimate sacrifice The way his Father's buddies Did in Nam. A soldier cries The terror of war Filling his eyes But he fought For his country And he will go home A hero. Copyright Michelle R Kidwell Jan.30.07

I am tired of it too. They ought to send these war protesters to Iraq and let THEM fight the war on terror!! Besides, they are the enemy, so why are WE getting blamed or charged with murder when they are killing OUR men and women?? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever! No one, unless they've been there, can fully appreciate what our men and women in uniform go through for our freedom. I think this comes danged close...........one of your best, Michelle; as a veteran, it sickens me how the media and society are villifying our soldiers and making heroes out of the enemy. DANGED shame. Reminds me of Vietnam all over again..................well done, and I salute you. (((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
