Pearl Harbor Speech by F.D.R.

To the Congress of the United States

Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

A new day of Infamy

The American way attacked

Perhaps the first time

This kind of danger

On American shores

But certainly not the last.

A new day of Infamy

In days before

Televisions and internet

Our Grandfathers, Grandmothers

Sat around RCA Radios

And listened to the voice

Of FDR.

Pearl Harbor

A day that will

In Infamy.
