Just a short verswe based on observation of a morning walk.

Hello

Gentle early morning spring rain ceases,
Wild Bluebells sway discarding droplets,
Dawn chorus? It has yet to sound,
Wildlife remains in invisible slumbers,
There is wonderment in stillness,
Safety in the quietness,
A trusting Hedgehog peeks,
We say hello.

Perfect. When ever you go for a walk take a pen and paper, pick up interseting objects, people watch, make key notes, listen in to neighbours talking....Bingo a poem is born.... keep walking and talking and love your retirement, prolly be the best years, creative years of your life
