This was writtern for my mother. She has been by my side no matter. We my not see eye to eye at times but I love her with all my heart. Thank you mom for everything.

I begin to walk but my steps are quickly slowed

As I start to think what is this hold

Not knowing what it is can be a sudden scare

And holding all this weight got me running from there

I don’t know where to start or where to go

If I can really hold on that long

With the things that I am seeing and the things I know

I should have been gone so long ago

Something held me tight and wouldn't let go

Now I’m sinking I’m no longer a float

I feel my body become heavy as I start to drown

Only 1 reached out their hand in time without a frown

As I look up and hope to see who

I noticed a woman that looks so familiar

As she starts to speak I can see much clearer

This is my angel as I laid back and thought

The one that watches over me and help me sort

Out all the things in my life I face

She never let me go til this day

As she walks with me in her arms

She starts to hum a lil song

And as I listened I begin to sing along

Only 2 people knows that song

The angel that has carried me for this long

My angel, my heart, my mother

As we walked together home.

She looked down at me and smiled

Then I knew I could go that mile.
