Prophet, Priest and King: A novel of King Solomon by John Ho
by John Howard Reid

King Solomon is often equated with wisdom, but, out of kilter with popular belief, the Bible does not always portray him as wise and good. Quite the contrary!..

Hmmm...

Slamming against the rocks and shores
The feeling things, like rivers flow
Obscured from intended design
Always running, running behind
Stuck in silence, who would know?
When even sound runs from my ear
Paused, while joy overwhelms me
Time leaves me alone
Building my stale air
Like a canopy rising overhead
As the ceiling slides toward certain depth
POP! a sudden breath
Slamming against the rocks and shores
The mind believes it has control
And nature always plays a role
Time again these words stole,
