On seeing my twin fight cancer

To see the face I love

So ravished and aged with pain

To hear the harsh drawn breath

Just breathing to be gained.

To feel the trembling weakness

And the eyes so dim and dark

No joy in life or gladness

No singing with the lark.

And I could weep in sorrow

As I thought of all tomorrow

Of the loneliness and sadness of an end.

This is a bitter valley to traverse with you dear friend

And I could weep in sorrow for my twin.

I'm sure you did weep in sorrow more than once. How beautiful that you can express your hurting in words. As you relive these experiences, God will comfort you anew.

G'day Olita, this is a beautiful & wonderful tribute to your sis. I could feel your pain reading 'And I could weep' but at the same time sense a relief that she is no longer suffering.

Well done my friend.
