They ask me for words
But I am dumb.
No words can speak of memories
Although so fast they come.
The times we had together
How quickly years went by.
The laughter and the tears
And now, a silent sigh.
Friends gather to give sympathy
And cups of coffee by the score
Sometimes I talk to you at night
And then I weep some more.
But still, althoughI know you're gone
And hidden from my sight.
I feel the comfort of your arms
In the softest morning light.
So here are the memories that I want to share.
Now I'm alone and no longer a *pair*
Till we meet again on a distant shore
Sleep peacefully forever more. My twin.
