Love lost, never to be regained.

The storm that beats on yonder window
Drums a never ending refrain.
Singularly to my spirit suited
Is the ever driving rain.

Howling, beating 'gainst the door now
Comes the wind so wild and free,
And even as my heart is breaking
I wonder where my love can be.

Whipping, driving, lashing onwards
Comes the black tempestuous sea,
And still I wonder 'wake or sleeping,
Does my lover think of me?

Those painful moments in our life. It is well-written. The image of storm and tempest is well placed. I love it.

This has a lovely scent of the ocean... "Lost Love" has a touching rhythm that strikes imagination... I could hear the heart pumping love's emotions throughout the beautiful imagery and lines of this magnificent poetic jewel.

May You enjoy a long healthy creative life through a blissful living.

I salute You, Poet.

In admiration,
