The perils of Internet Dating
Are many and varied too
You never know who you're 'speaking' with
You only know of you
Words that come in an email
The truth can be so scarce
And with a few emoticons
You're floating in mid air
It may not be just who you thought
Anonymous words on a screen
Can tell you just about anything
For you to believe in your dream
Even if they send pictures
How can you know it's them?
It seems a case for me again
To investigate Zen!
I still don't know what Zen is
I guess I never will
Beware of words on the Internet
They can really sap your will!
And even with some nagging doubts
You still want to believe
At least until a certain point
Is reached then you're deceived!
Well actually you weren't deceived
You knew it all along
At least you thought you knew you did
And that's what breaks the song!
The tune that was harmonious
Has seemed to change it's key
Instead of harmonic convergence
It's in the key of Screech!
But yet you wanted to believe
And may I warn you buddy
You'll really never know who it was
Who finally asked you for money!
