Road Kill

I called and they put me right through to your room
But I did not want to talk to you.
You have only been in de-tox for two days
And I just needed to see if you were okay.

Your lunch was getting cold so I hung up
Wondering if you were only driving
An eighteen-wheeler on the road to sobriety
That would run me over like road kill.

What a really original and unique way to put this road to sobriety.
Thanks

This is very sobering and considering that we have had several fatalities within two days. You have to wonder about the booze part.

great thoughts...its frightening when you want the person to succeed but are afraid of the might nots. i had to do it all alone when i finally kicked the booze because i couldn't take what i saw in my lover's eyes when he looked at me...that mixture of hope and doubt mixed with equal parts of repulsion and love
