Your Frosted Image
Inside each individual
Lives a picture of what
They perceive themselves to be,
RIGHT OR WRONG
Which remains hidden, just scantily
Below the surface of their fragile being, yet all
It takes to fracture that vision, is one unkind word
~ One truly unkind thought put to voice ~
That cruelly forces or changes that individual’s opinion
Of themselves, even though
~ If truth be known ~
The person giving the opinion,
RIGHT OR WRONG
Is probably no different than the other individual,
And after a few of these off-colour, and off-handed
Remarks, quickly begins to perceived themselves as
Nothing special, nothing unique, and not worthy
Of the praise, this is showered upon them,
~ But ~
The one thing,
THIS PERSON
Knows for certainty, is that no matter
What you perceive yourself to be, you
Will always be that someone who is
~ Special ~
Someone who is
~ Unique ~
And someone
who is
~ Irreplaceable ~
Because like
And opening
Rose, you
Will
Forever
Be
Growing
And
Blooming
To create
That wonderful
Person who will always
Be just plain, miraculous, old
YOU
~
A
Frosted
Image
That
Lives
Within
