Passion's Throes

Passion’s Throes

I want to wear you like a breath, settling along my skin

Want your control to surrender…when you’re buried within

This aching…this throbbing – is its true visage desire?

Could these throaty, husky whispers come from an angels’ choir?

As if we’re on a garden swing, the pace steadily soars

A rainbow explodes – I see raining bits, multi-colours

Are there parachutes swinging us softly to cushioned ground?

Contently we sigh and muse over the passion we found

the alert has been sounded, passion is launched -- let here be no interruption 'til we have reached the rainbow's arch -- only then shall our contentment be given its opportunity to verbalize pleasure's throes -- steamy with excitement and eroticism Sheila -- well said -- much love and peace to you my friend -- JMW

Sheila,
Karla's right, the opening line is a hook, a marvellous one, and from then on the poem's a celebration of lovemaking, sensual and erotic. Exceptional!

"I want to wear you like a breath" ... I want to own that line! That alone is worth the price of admission (as the saying goes). Your second strophe is beautifully visual and ends softly. Lovely! Hugs, Elizabeth

Overlapping passionate verses drive the reader into intensity of thought. Contained herein, is a young poetic sapling yielding to the winds of metaphorical desire. This is a magnificent, sensual, exciting, quality, that makes the reader fall backwards into that exploding rainbow world of yours forever! Oh my...Whew!
