Lovely piece Sheila. I really like that third stanza, "stone collapsed in dust" and "salt rubbed in a wound" go together perfectly and their imagery speaks to the reader.

This is interesting Sheilafriend
and substantive in its rationale.
Each stanza has fifteen syllables, 5-5-5,
and six stanzas to complete the thought process.
I like chaining these little guys together
mysterious indeed!
a unique poetic invention...

| Your title is a phrase I've used a lot; yet, I've never given much thought to it until reading your poem. And you are so right, there are so many things in this world that we have no human answer for--and only God knows. Great write. |
