You gave me pearls -

classic beauties so

smooth and round.

Lustrous gems of the

sea adorned my throat

You said they looked

like perfect little drops

of the moon resting on

my neck; and that each

one held secrets of your

love and devotion

Whenever I touched one

a secret was whispered

on to my fingertip and it

lovingly danced its way

to my heart to tell it what

it already knew.

This I really loved for several reasons, but the main one is I have a necklace that was given to me as a gift, it is a Jade Elephant. Whenever I wear it, I find myself constantly touching it and thinking about the person who gave it to me! Thanks for sharing this poem!
