KEEP ON FLOPPING
I hear a story from a good friend of mine.
One of those friends that remises all the time.
Today was his day to say what his mama said
As she fished on the bank where the big one fled.
I guess you could say as the story is told,
You shouldn’t take for granted the life in one’s soul.
Just like that fish that was hooked and got away,
You’ve got to watch out for the flopping, if you want the catch to stay.
You never know what position you’ll find yourself in,
But if you just keep flopping I know you win.
Never let the devil – when you are on his hook
think that you’ve surrendered – he’s nothing but a crook!
Just keep flopping
Flop from side to side.
Flop up and down – give that old devil a ride.
Flop till he gets tired.
Flop till he gets ashamed.
Just keep on flopping in Jesus name.
This race is not given to the swift or the thin,
but to him that endureth all the way to the end.
And just in case that flopping IS your last ride,
Flop on my friend until you reach the Father’s side.
