Picture by Judith Merrill entitled "Full Moon".

Softly the day breaks
Flowing, glowing rays of beams
slide over the edge of the earth
chasing away the shadows of night dreams.

At corner of the tower, the moon,
a full glimmering disk of pure white,
holds on tight - holding on with all of its might-
onto its reign upon the night.
