...a full Druid Moon hung low...

A full Druid Moon hung low and bright
as she ran, breathless, with unsaid chants...
words of power, words of fear.

Her hair streamed behind her as she ran...
knowing that they were watching her,
judging her, evaluating her, waiting for her.

Their sharp features were stamped with glee
and anticipation for the pleasures she would give...
fortunes told, futures given, gossip shared.

She ran, breathless, with unsaid chants,
words of power, words of fear...
words of advice that wouldn’t be noticed, liked or heeded.

I do notice your advice and like it. Not to do gossiping, have no fear. You have a way with words like noone I've read so far and each to his own in living and giving. You made my day today. Love, Lois************

Enchantingly absorbing, Silver!

Chants and moons and futute's glee
never appropriatedly mesh into what's seen...

A breath of enchantment hovers within the verses as a bit of mystery intrigues. There is anticipation in the "words of power, words of fear" making me long to hear the message she brings. Not everyone will be happy to learn the lessons of the mystics as they just might challenge what we believe to be true. Wonderful poem, Silver, beautiful poetry.
Take care,

Beautifully captivating Sliver, took my mind to 'grove's of Oak, Where with mistletoe we'd invoke spirits of the past. Love the pic too.

an engaging sojourn into how the mystical powers offering knowledge and insight are dismissed due to fear or apathy, if what is revealed is not wanted to be heard or known ...

As an Irish Newfoundland descendent I always love the traditional but non confirmal Celtic tales you tell. Filled with the magic of the wee people they always open the magic tresure box of our imaginations. Well done Silver.
