Oh God how I wish I knew, if I知 going to make it through. Another day without You near, and the pains of yesteryear. Today I知 torn between the two, the pain of war and loving You. I知 not sure I want to know, how it ends , where I値l go. As I walk this line so thin, torn between the now and then. I often wonder were You値l be, somewhere else, or there with me. No matter what , no matter why, my love for You will never die. I only hope You値l understand, without You there I知 half a man. As I travel this thin line, knowing not what I値l find. Will I lose this war to the pain, Or have You there to stop the rain. Oh dear God it痴 this I pray, the pains of war will go away. And the man that I once knew, will surely go on loving You. As the walls come closing in, knowing this could be the end. Will pains of war take there toll, my life be over and dead my soul. My faith in God, my strength in Christ, are they enough to save my life. Whatever may become of me, I know the Truth will set me free. Free from all that tortures me, free from all the misery. Free for God to work his will, free to be or not to be.

I enjoyed this poem very much. It seems realistic, as if you were able to read the thoughts of the young soldier. The picture is a perfect accompaniment, too.
