Blue is Just One Color on the Christmas Tree

It’s been a year to remember
Good times and the bad
On this eve in December
It’s so hard to be so sad

Just say you’ll get ‘em next year
As colored lights shine on your face
Cuddle up with some Christmas cheer
‘Round the Yule log fireplace

Catch someone under the mistletoe
Pass the time in song
Feel the joy within you grow
Here with friends, you can’t go wrong

Build a snowman on your lawn
Feed the birds your cookie crumbs
Trying hard to hide your yawn
Slumber deep when Santa comes

Dream of gifts and presents new
‘Neath your gilded tree
Whether many or a few
What a wondrous sight to see

Take to heart this goodwill feeling
Throughout the year, not just the night
Let it work its magic healing
Everything will turn out right

Merry Christmas!

Atomar ... a wonderfully upbeat poem. Especially the urging to continue the happy state the whole year. Bill Murray
